  • We look at where things stand and what you need. For a full visual identity, I design logos and define colour palettes, typography and the wider visual language around your brand. From there, we can bring it to life across websites, campaigns and print.

  • I design and build websites from scratch in Wix Studio. Every site is fully customised, responsive and easy for you to manage and update yourself over time. The aim is always to create something clear in its design, functional and built to last.

Show Covers for Brum Radio

Brum Radio is Birmingham's independent radio station. I joined as a volunteer graphic designer, drawn in by its perfect mix of music, media and Birmingham, the city I grew up in.

Alongside the full brand refresh, I've also designed show covers for new programmes.

I studied Media Management at the Schule für Gestaltung in Bern, while working in Marketing and Communications at Leica Camera and now work independently as a freelance designer.

The A to X of Alternative Music

The show cover for The A to X of Alternative Music was inspired by Birmingham's iconic A to Z street map. The elongated X, together with the dark blue colour palette, gives the cover a more alternative feel. As a small detail, the X sits exactly where the Brum Radio studio is located in Digbeth.

The A to X of Alternative Music is a book and a radio show that celebrates music made outside of the mainstream. Every week a selection of classic artists from Birmingham and West Midlands are showcased, alongside new music and rarities from further afield.

The Friday Morning Show

For the new Friday Morning Show, I created this show cover. Friday has always felt like a red kind of day to me. I paired it with a bold, friendly typeface to match the energy of the show. The illustrated hands could be stretching after waking up or raised in celebration of the weekend finally arriving.

On the Friday Morning Show, Adelle plays music to get you in the mood for the weekend.

Hometown Heavyweights

For Kelly Jade's new show, she wanted to combine Birmingham landmarks with the look and feel of a classic boxing poster. The background illustrations feature a selection of the city's most recognisable monuments and I felt the combination was a perfect fit for the show.

Kelly Jade has natter with some of Brum’s finest, from musicians to designers, comedians to restaurant owners and DJs to artists, these are the folk that keep Brum a hub of greatness. Teamed with a strictly a local playlist, this makes for one almighty tribute to the Midlands.

Algo|Afro Futures

For Algo|Afro Futures, I created a series of show cover variations, all built around the same distinctive typographic layout. The modern typeface and bold text placement felt like the perfect fit for the programme

Antonio Roberts presents (Algo|Afro) Futures, an hour of experimental music by people of colour from around the globe. Walls of noise and algorithmic beats juxtaposed against ambient soundscapes, abstract hip hop, and alternative pop.

Outer Circle

This show cover visually plays on the Outer Circle bus route, using the route shape as the main visual, but as a speech bubble. The dotted type hints at a bus display and the colour tones reference the newer West Midlands buses. The speech/thought bubble with “What’s up in Birmingham?” reflects what the show is about and what it sets out to answer.

Birmingham is a city built on stories - music, theatre, food, community and everyday life. Every weekday, Outer Circle picks the best of them: gigs, exhibitions, film, food and community events, and gives them the space they deserve.

New Noise

For New Noise, I used a large lowercase typeface to give the cover a bold, distinctive character. As a small detail, the dot from the i was carved out of the w, adding a nice touch of personality.

New music, New artists, New Noise. Jordan Ritchie plays all the latest songs from the week and discovers new artists.

Speakeasy with Susie

When rebranding Susie's show, we moved away from the original light blue palette in favour of warmer purple tones that better reflected her personality and the welcoming atmosphere of her guest interviews. The curved typeface has a gentle, flowing quality, almost like a wave, reinforcing the relaxed feel of the show.

Susie plays feel-good tunes from Brum Radio’s archive and emerging local talent and stay at the Speakeasy for special guest interviews from the worlds of music, entertainment and much more.

This year I decided to focus on sharpening my appearance as a DJ and professionalising my entire image. I asked louisplant.ch to help me with this and I couldn't be happier!

Louis Plant Schneeberger understood me perfectly not only as a DJ but also as an artist and brought my vision to life in his vision. His expertise and creativity absolutely impressed me.

So if you're looking for someone to visually showcase your personality, I can wholeheartedly recommend Louis!
