Website and Logo for Benny Metho Spirit
Benny Metho Spirit is a songwriter, composer, singer, producer and guitarist whose artistic journey began in the late 1990s. Influenced by rap, hip hop, beatboxing and other urban music styles, he has developed a distinctive sound that blends contemporary urban influences with African musical traditions.
Benny Metho Spirit wanted a website that could finally bring his story and his music together in one place. It had to be more than a simple artist page. The site was built to grow with him, giving future releases, projects and updates a home.
I studied Media Management at the Schule für Gestaltung in Bern, while working in Marketing and Communications at Leica Camera and now work independently as a freelance designer.

About the project
Born Jean Louis Tchétché in Abobo, a vibrant district of Abidjan in Côte d'Ivoire, he grew up surrounded by African urban music and Afro American dance culture. Although his parents hoped he would become a lawyer, his passion for music led him in a different direction from an early age. Benny Metho Spirit became an artist whose work continues to unite African roots with contemporary urban music, creating an authentic and distinctive musical identity.
Alongside the website, we created a visual design for Benny. The new logo takes inspiration from the shape of an electric guitar, built from the letters of his name. It gives the brand a personal look that links back to his music.
The site is available in French, English, German and Spanish, making it easy for people around the world to explore Benny's work on any device.
The content takes its time. Instead of rushing through the story, big titles, images and embedded videos break up the longer texts. The website also works as a personal archive, giving Benny a place to document his journey as much as share it with others.
A dedicated music page brings together Benny's full catalogue in one place. Every release links straight to the streaming platforms where people can listen. Behind the scenes, everything is managed through a simple CMS, allowing Benny to add new music.
