As a young teenager, in the years of 2015 and 2018, I wrote my own little neighborhood newspaper "Die Gurzelen Nachrichten" every few months and distributed it in local stores and businesses and sent it by post to about 30 of my subscribers (these being my family and friends).

An A4 double page spread with three articles, a photo quiz and jokes, sudokus and quizzes, depending on the issue.

Take a look at all the issues I have scanned and digitised here:

"A 13-year-old in the Gurzelen neighborhood has already been active as a journalist for two years: as a local reporter, he writes short articles about all kinds of events in the neighborhood. Neighbors and parents help with the ideas. He does everything else himself," the Bieler Tagblatt wrote about me and my newspaper on May 24, 2017.

A big thank you to Andreas Barth and Rudolf Löffel from the BBZ Biel for allowing me to print my newspaper with them and to Carlo Senn for this memorable article in the Bieler Tagblatt.

Shortly after this article was published, I moved away from the Gurzelen neighborhood. The last issue of Gurzelen Nachrichten was published in the summer of 2018.
