From Kick-off to Go-Live in just 11 Days
Jean-Cédric Michel had a clear goal: he wanted a new, slick, and interactive website to support the release of Plus pour tous, and to give his previous works a proper home online.
I studied Media Management at the Schule für Gestaltung in Bern, while working in Marketing and Communications at Leica Camera and now work independently as a freelance designer.
About the project
It needed to be fresh, bilingual, and press-friendly. We had one initial meeting to align on the concept, one quick check-in halfway through, and the rest happened over email. Honestly, a huge part of the speed was thanks to how responsive and decisive Jean-Cédric Michel was.
From scratch, I worked through the concept, layout, visuals, and structure using Wix Studio. It’s a flexible tool and worked perfectly for this kind of quick turnaround. We covered everything: site design, functionality, domain setup, and SEO basics - end to end.
Some of the key updates: a stronger focus on press coverage, a new “News” section, and dedicated pages for journalists and retailers. All of it wrapped into a clean, bilingual site that makes room for his past books while spotlighting the newest one.
This project reminded me how much is possible in a short time when both sides are clear, open, and moving at the same pace.
